Hi teachers!
I hope this email finds you well and ready for a well-deserved holiday break! Just a few reminders as we finish out 2008:
1.) The MINDSET website (http://www.mindsetproject.org) has a new feature on the Sign In/Sign Out page where you can retrieve your user name or password if you forget them. That way you don't have to take the time to email us if you've forgotten your information (which happens to all of us from time to time!).
2.) For those of you that have begun teaching the MINDSET chapters, we ask that you visit the discussion boards on the website (http://www.mindsetproject.org/index.php/discussion-forums) and post a brief summary of your experiences along with any files (worksheets, quizzes, etc.) that you have created and would like to share with others. Your summary should be about a paragraph in length.
3.) The "Chapter Feedback Form" is now available on the MINDSET website. Click on "Provide Chapter Feedback" under the "Tasks" menu and begin your evaluation of the chapters you've piloted. After you've submitted at least 2 feedback forms and they have been approved by one of the project team members, please follow the instructions on the pilot payment invoice document posted on the bottom of the page. You will be notified via email that your feedback forms have been approved and then after we receive your invoice in the mail, we will process your payment.
4.) We are also in the process of posting more files for the deterministic chapters on the MINDSET website. We're working to post the homework solutions in the near future and an early draft of teacher notes for each chapter will follow a little later. Please check the site often to see what files have been posted.
5.) I know many of you have been in contact with the graduate students and they have visited your classes this Fall (in Wake County). I encourage you to continue your communication with them and seek their assistance as necessary. Remember...we're all here to help and Krista, Richelle and Bill are valuable resources!
6.) We will probably have another teacher follow-up meeting sometime in Feb/March, but nothing is official at this point. I will send more details as they become available.
Thank you for all that you do and Merry Christmas to all!
Thanks,
Amy Craig
